Postdoctoral Associate, Plant and Microbial Biology, University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, USA
I am a Postdoc at Prof. Nathan Springer’s lab at UMN. My research background refers to both plant phenomics and genomics. I would like to set myself as a plant biologist. I mainly use computational tools or develop computational methods on solving biological/genetic questions. In phenotyping, I think uncovering latent information using imaging techniques and broad spectral wavelengths have the potential for us to quantify and understand plant growth, stress response and diversity. Data derived from these points enable us to look for hidden “traits” behind plants and interpret these “traits” using genetics, and therefore improve plant breeding. Besides researches, I like cuisine, tennis and traveling in my spare time.
