Minute Earth tackles the most interesting scientific problems on planet Earth for diverse public audiences

ASCEND has collaborated with the MinuteEarth team to develop a series of educational videos that present information about the importance of biodiversity and using spectral signatures to detect biodiversity and global change threats to trees. MinuteEarth has released numerous videos in English and Portuguese on YouTube and other platforms that receive million views. Topics covered a range of ecological issues, including: ‘Apparently tree fingerprints are a thing’, ‘The Couch Candy Protocol’, ‘is soil alive’, zoonotic pandemic ecology, the freshwater paradox, the rain shadow effect, and ‘this is not tree’ about the biological definition of trees.
