Antonio González-Rodríguez

Antonio González-Rodriguez is a conservation geneticist who has extensively studied the phylogeography and biogeographic history of the Mexican oaks (Quercus) among other lineages. He is a full-time researcher at the Institute for Ecosystems and Sustainability Research of the National Autonomous University of México (UNAM). He obtained his Ph.D. in Ecology from UNAM in 2004. His research topics include phylogeography, landscape genetics and functional ecology focusing mainly on trees and insects. He is a member of the Sociedad Botánica de México and Sociedad Científica Mexicana de Ecología.
